SFS announced its first official volunteering partnership with The Lewis Foundation at a special event held during National Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June).
The Lewis Foundation was set up in 2016 by Lorraine and Lee Lewis after Lee’s mum was hospitalised with cancer and the charity now delivers over 2,500 gift packs to fourteen hospitals in the Midlands every month. There are 29 different packs available that patients can choose from and these may contain overnight essentials, toiletries, craft sets, hydration supplies, puzzles, miniature radios and lots more.
SFS colleagues, community partners and local representatives gathered at the company’s Headquarters in Northampton on Tuesday 2 June 2026 for the launch of SFS’ inaugural volunteering partnership with The Lewis Foundation, marking the start of a longer-term relationship focused on practical support.
SFS colleagues will be able to contribute their time, skills and expertise in ways that help the charity reach more people and deliver greater impact. The partnership reflects a broader ambition to make volunteering a more consistent and visible part of how SFS and Paragon support local communities.
Bob Sweetland, Managing Director, SFS said: “We are delighted to be able to work with The Lewis Foundation and to have the opportunity to make a difference to the local community. Plans are already in place for colleagues from Paragon and SFS to contribute their skills and expertise in ways that can help the charity reach more people.”
Lorraine Lewis, Co-Founder and CEO, The Lewis Foundation: “This is an exciting new chapter for us, working with SFS to see what difference we can make together for the local community. It’s a huge support for us as a charity, and to the patients in hospital and their families, to know that their community cares.”
SFS has been delivering fleet and workshop management solutions to local authorities for over 30 years. The company operates its own specialist short-term hire division, CTS Hire, and a network of 15 workshops across the UK with plans for continued expansion.
