One of the founding Business Partner members Specialist Fleet Services Ltd (SFS) has renewed its Affiliated Organisation membership with the Chartered Institute of Waste Management (CIWM) for the 8th year running, although the company has supported the Institute's activities for much longer.

As a CIWM Affiliated Organisation SFS has signed up to a Code of Conduct, which includes maintaining high standards of professional expertise, operational and business practice, as well as complying with all relevant sector related legislation and regulations, and taking the lead in establishing best practice. Affiliate organisations are also required to share and contribute towards achieving the goals laid out in the CIWM's Royal Charter:

“To advance for the public benefit the art and science of wastes management worldwide and so to promote education, the protection of public health and the preservation of the environment, and for that purpose to further promote and maintain good standards of practice, competence and conduct by all its members”.
