Established in 1992, SFS provides innovative contract hire and leasing solutions on all types of vehicles and plant to central and local government.
The company has expanded considerably since its establishment and is widely recognised as one of the leading suppliers of municipal vehicles, offering a complete provision and maintenance service to over twenty five major local authorities. Vehicles supplied range from a fleet of refuse collection vehicles to a council’s whole fleet, including cars, vans, grounds maintenance equipment, accessible buses, gritters, sweepers and refuse vehicles.
Each of our contracts is different and tailored to meet our customers' individual requirements.
Flexibility is one of SFS’s strengths with hire periods ranging from one month to twelve years.
Maintenance can also be provided in a number of different ways:
- we can sub-contract the maintenance to the council’s own workshop, or
- we can provide our own workshop or take over the council facility with a TUPE transfer of the workshop staff, or
- we can identify a third party to provide the maintenance service
All vehicles are supplied and owned by SFS and all residual value risk is taken by SFS. You therefore know that throughout the whole term of your contract you will only deal with one company - SFS.
