Contract hire and fleet management experts Specialist Fleet Services Ltd (SFS) and refuse vehicle hire and maintenance company Collett Transport Services (CTS), return to the Resource Efficiency & Waste Management Solutions 2015 (RWM) exhibition (16-18 September 2015) as co-exhibitors in Stand 5x100-Y101.

SFS is celebrating after announcing that its contract with Hambleton District Council has been renewed for another 10 years, with an option to extend for 10 years. The contract involves the provision of fleet for the Authority’s street cleansing division, which includes waste and recycling, and is the third time in succession that Hambleton has chosen SFS as its vehicle partner.

Paul Staines, Head of Environment Service, Hambleton District Council: “SFS has an excellent track record in helping us keep our waste and recycling fleet running smoothly.  We are rolling out a new service and we are pleased that SFS will be managing our entire fleet including street cleansing and that this will facilitate a seamless transition.”

SFS has a reputation for building long-term relationships with its clients and has recently had its contracts with First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) and Teignbridge District Council retained for the third time.

The company has also boosted its management team with the appointment of two senior members of staff: Amanda Brown as Business Development Director and Nicola Finch as Financial Director.

Bob Sweetland added: “We have a reputation for professionalism and thorough approach and we go to great lengths to understand each of our customer’s individual needs so that we can provide bespoke contracts that reflect their requirements to the last detail. RWM is the key industry expo for us and we hope to repeat the success we had at last year’s show.”

At Gloucestershire-based CTS there has been an exciting new development with diversification into Sweeper hire following the purchase of 4 Johnston Sweepers.  The company has also continued to invest in new vehicles as part of its ongoing fleet renewal programme, including the addition of four 2015 plate Euro 6 RCV’s from Dennis Eagle.

Andy Collett, Director, CTS said: “We are committed to diversifying and renewing our fleet to meet the changing needs of our customers.  RWM was a great platform for us last year, and with the continued support of SFS, we have some exciting plans for the future.”
