Epsom & Ewell Borough Council have completed the successful roll-out of their new Simply Weekly Recycling service with new vehicles provided by Specialist Fleet Services Ltd (SFS).

In February this year SFS won the 10-year contract to provide 75 vehicles, including 12 Refuse Collection Vehicles, minibuses, tippers and sweepers, as well as manage the council’s workshops and maintain the vehicles. The new standardised fleet is more cost effective as vehicles are interchangeable and multi-functional. Previous to this contract SFS had been providing fleet services to the Authority for 11 years.

The new service began being rolled out in May and includes a weekly collection of co-mingled dry recycling, glass, food waste and general refuse.

The majority of the new fleet has already been delivered with the remaining vehicles in situ by the end of September.
